Chapter 1. YouTube channel — for beginners

Training

How the role differs and where the first money comes from.

A channel is one topic

Training

Your own YouTube channel keeps one topic for one viewer. Videos about everything do not build an audience you can offer something to. The first videos explain the topic, they do not sell a pile of offers. A tracked link appears when the video already talks about the product in your own words. Someone else's channel and someone else's videos are not uploaded as yours.

The title and the thumbnail

The title promises what is in the video. The thumbnail shows the same idea in one frame and a few words. If the title is louder than the video, the person leaves in the first seconds and retention falls. Someone else's result and an income promise do not go in the title if the video does not show them.

The first seconds

At the start of the video you say what it is about and who it is for. A half-minute greeting and a logo with no topic get skipped. One idea at the start, then a proof or an example, then one next step if there is one. Two different calls to action do not go in one video.

The description and the link

In the description the first line repeats the topic. The tracked link sits where the video really leads to an action. Links to different offers do not share one description. You do not delete the mark: otherwise you cannot see which video brought the person.

What to watch after publishing

Training
Free

After it goes live you watch whether people finish the video and whether they use the link. A view by itself is not an offer action. If they finish it but do not click, the video holds the topic and the step at the end is weak. If they do not finish it, you fix the opening, not the budget. You turn on promotion after an ordinary upload already shows retention. Paying for a video people leave at once is early.

Rights to the picture and the sound

Training
Free

The frames and the music in the video are ones you are allowed to use. Someone else's film, clip or face does not go in without the right. If the offer requires an ad mark, it is in the video and in the description. A video the platform limited because of rights is not promoted.
